Learn The Art of Scalp Micropigmentation: Scalp Esthetica To Offer Training in SMP

Scalp Micropigmentation is the art of applying simulated, pigmented hair follicles to the scalp to give the appearance of a freshly shaved head of hair, or a buzz cut. Now you can train and learn this art form with the leaders in SMP in Toronto, ON.

TORONTO - Dec. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Scalp Micropigmentation, SMP, Scalp Tattoo or Hair Tattoo is truly an art form that thousands of Men and Women are now utilizing as an alternative to hair transplants, wigs, systems, Rogaine, powders and fibers.

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) involves applying thousands of pigmented hair follicles to the scalp in order to give bald or balding Men and Women the appearance of a full head of shaved hair or a buzz cut.  This process can also be utilized for Men and Women with thinning hair to give the appearance of a denser, fuller, thicker head of hair by camouflaging the scalp.  Moreover, we see a lot of Men whom have had hair transplants and are concerned with their thinning hair, and scars from the hair transplant, in which we are able to camouflage both the scalp and the scar.

Scalp Micropigmentation is the fastest growing sector in the hair loss industry and has only just started to be recognized by Doctors and Hair Loss Clinics in the last few years.  Scalp Esthetica has already conducted hundreds of treatments from SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation) to SMP HD (Scalp Micropigmentation Hair Density) and SMP SC (Scalp Micropigmentation Scar Camouflage).  "We have seen a tremendous growth in SMP and we receive hundreds of calls a month" says Tino Barbone, CEO, Owner and SMP Artist at Scalp Esthetica, "Unfortunately, with growth we have seen others try to get into the industry with limited training, or starting their own SMP training course with limited experience".

Scalp Esthetica are the leaders in Canada in Scalp Micropigmentation, and the only clinic in Toronto, Ontario who specialize in Scalp Micropigmentation, Hair Density, Hair Thinning and Scar Camouflage Treatments, and now you can add the Best SMP Training course in Canada.

Scalp Esthetica will be offering Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), Hair Tattoo and Scalp Tattoo Training in 2016.  What makes them different from other companies offering training in SMP:

1) One on One or Semi Private SMP Training

Many companies that offer group training are simply trying to get as much money out of their students as possible, however, the students do not get enough attention, nor practice in this art, and most leave the course more confused than when they entered the course.  Scalp Esthetica will only be offering one on one a maximum of 2 students for semi private SMP Training.

2) No Online Courses

Again, SMP is an art form that you need to see, touch and feel in order to understand how to conduct a proper SMP treatment.  By viewing SMP training videos online, you cannot possibly get the same experience as those getting hands on training in class, on a live client and get the feedback in order to improve your techniques.

3) Work with Live Clients

In a large group of students who are all training to be the best SMP artist, you cannot have 8 students working on one client and expect to get the experience required to complete a full SMP treatment.  One student. One client.

You can visit http://www.scalpesthetica.com/smp-training/ for more information about Scalp Esthetica and their Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) Training Program.

Scalp Micropigmentation at Scalp Esthetica – Finally, A Tattoo You Will Never Regret Getting!

Scalp Esthetica are the Leaders in Scalp Micropigmentation in Canada, and the Best and Only SMP Clinic in Toronto, Ontario specializing in Scalp Tattoo and Hair Tattoo Treatments.

TORONTO - Dec. 3, 2015 - Scalp Esthetica -- By now you may have heard of a new, alternative treatment to Hair Transplants, Wigs, Rogaine, Monoxidil and Low Level Lasers for hair growth, called Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), or better known as Scalp Tattoo or Hair Tattoo.  This article will examine what is Scalp Micropigmentation and how it can benefit Men and Women concerned with Hair Loss, Thinning Hair, Baldness and Scalp Scars do to Hair Transplants.

What is Scalp Micropigmentation, Hair Tattoo or Scalp Tattoo?

Simply put, Scalp Micropigmentation is the process of adding thousands of pigmented hair follicles on the scalp with the use of a tattoo gun or rotary tool, specialized pigments and needles.  The process is similar to that of having a classic tattoo; however, the placement of the pigments in the skin differs greatly.  This procedure gives Men the appearance of a full head of shaved hair, or a buzzcut.  For Men and Women with thinning hair or whom have a scar from hair transplants (FUE or Strip), Scalp Esthetica is able to use this technique to camouflage the scalp with thousands of pigmented, simulated hair follicles, to give the impression of a full head of denser hair. “By not being able to see through the hair and into the scalp, we are able to give the appearance of a denser, fuller head of hair for Men and Women.  We’ve seen an influx in Women coming in concerned with thinning hair and being able to see through the hair to the scalp, especially in pictures or bad lighting.  We’ve also gotten the word out to Men with thinning hair from Hair Transplants, or who have scars from ear to ear from these procedures, that there is a solution and you don’t have to live with it”.

“At Scalp Esthetica, our pigments and needles are custom made” says Tino Barbone, CEO of the leading Scalp Micropigmentation Clinic in Toronto, Canada.  “Our needles are 80% smaller than regular tattoo needles, and our pigments are stable and do not change color over time.”, says Mr. Barbone,  “ Although all pigments fade, like any tattoo, they fade into a charcoal color which resembles a salt and pepper look, and that can take between 5-10 years, if the pigment is well taken care of”.

“In the past 12 months we’ve seen a huge increase in demand in Scalp Micropigmentation treatments…the word is finally getting out that there is an alternative treatment to hair transplants and pills and lotions”.  Scalp Estheticas’ tag line is “Be Bold, Not Bald”, which tells Men to embrace their baldness, but they don’t have to live with it.  “Men now have the option to have a natural looking, shaved head of hair instead of the common horseshoe pattern.  We are able to fill the area with thousands of simulated hair follicles and people will not be able to tell the difference between a real hair follicle and a pigmented, simulated one.”

How Much Does A Scalp Micropigmentation, Scalp Tattoo or Hair Tattoo Treatment Cost?

Scalp Micropigmentation is a specialized treatment where the SMP Artist must implant thousands and thousands of pigmented, simulated hair follicles into the scalp, one by one.  The SMP Artist must also place the pigment in the correct layer of skin, the deep epidermis for this treatment to work.  At Scalp Esthetica each client receives 3 treatments.  The first treatment layers thousands of pigmented hair follicles into the scalp and builds out the hairline.  “The clients’ second treatment is really where they see all the results, because we are now adding much more density to the scalp.  The client will see about 75% results after the second treatment.”  The third treatment is where all the hard work has paid off and the client has 100% results.  Each treatment is 4-5 hours in length, and the first to second treatment is spaced 2 weeks apart, while the third treatment is spaced 4-6 weeks apart.  The average cost is $3500 for frontal hairline and crown area, but the client should always go to Scalp Esthetica to receive a free consultation so that the SMP Artist can properly evaluate the client and give them a more accurate quote.  At Scalp Esthetica in Toronto, Ontario, you only pay Canadian Dollars, unlike some of their counterparts which charge American Dollars, which of course drives up the price considerably, especially with today’s exchange rate.

What makes Scalp Esthetica the Leaders in Scalp Micropigmentation in Toronto, Canada?

“Our pigments, our needles, our experience and our service!”, says Mr. Barbone.  “Each client that leaves our facility gains a new found confidence and they all leave with their head held high and chest out”.  Scalp Esthetica has years of experience in the industry, and have treated Men and Women, light skin to dark skin, and all types of nationalities. “It’s important to match the size and shape of the hair follicle to the client, as well as build out the hairline to match the clients face”.

Scalp Tattoo and Hair Tattoo: The Best Alternative to Low Level Laser Therapy, Minoxidil, Hair Transplants and PRP

Many clients who come in to Scalp Esthetica ask our opinion on various other procedures used to treat hair loss and thinning hair, including Low Level Laser Therapy, Minoxidil, Hair Transplants, Platelet Rich Plasma treatments and even Laser Combs. This article will go through each of these treatment options, and explain why there is no substitute to Scalp Micropigmentation, Hair Tattoo or Scalp Tattoo Treatments.

TORONTO - Nov. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Low Level Laser Therapy – Laser Combs and RED LED Light Therapy

Unfortunately, there has been a big push on these light treatments that state that the RED LED light stimulates blood flow to the scalp and can regrow hair by awakening dormant hairs.  Although the science is sound, and we’ve seen this in clients that have had IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal, it will not completely regrow all your hair back, and it will not certainly last.  The problem is that the original cause of one’s hair loss is the issue, and whatever terminated the original hairs in the first place (i.e. hormones, etc), will most likely cause the newly awakened hairs to fall out within months.  These treatments take months, if not years of usage to grow back a small amount of hair that most likely will fall out in the near future after usage.

Minoxidil

Minoxidil is a great option for those wanting to keep most of the remaining hair that they currently have.  Research has not shown great success in regrowth of hair using Minoxidil, however, the same research does confirm that Men and Women have been able to keep their remaining hairs for a much longer period of time, than not using Minoxidil.  However, unfortunately, research also shows that Minoxidil only works for approx. 38% of clients using the product.  Minoxidil does come with some side effects, and you will need to wait up to 1 year to really know if it is working or not.  Cost is approx.  $50 per month, for life.  Once you stop using Minoxidil, your hairs will fall out again after 3-4 months.

Hair Transplants

Although Hair Transplants have come a long way in regards to results and scarring, hair transplants do not work for everyone.  No guarantees can be made in regards to results, and the cost can be between $12,000 to $50,000 depending on the areas being treated, the amount of hair loss and the doctor performing the procedure.  Most clients we see at Scalp Esthetica either had little to no results, or are left with scars that need to be camouflaged.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Treatments

This is a new treatment that is gaining a lot of momentum, however, there is not enough research to show that this new treatment works or is long lasting.  Most Doctors do not guarantee results and all the research state that this is a “promising” treatment, but more research (short term and long term) needs to be conducted in order for this treatment to be evaluated and considered a success.  Again, it may regrow new hairs or awaken dormant hairs; however, the new hairs will most likely fall out within months.

Scalp Micropigmentation, Hair Tattoo and Scalp Tattoo

This treatment, offered by Scalp Esthetica, is the only treatment that is guaranteed to work.  The results are instant, and you will see the results during your treatment and definitely after your very first treatment.  For Men who are balding or bald, you can now have the look of a freshly shaved head of hair or a buzzcut; all day, every day.  The only stipulation is that you need to shave your head on a daily basis or every other day.  For Men and Women with thinning hair, Scalp Micropigmentation, will help add hair follicles to the scalp to give the appearance of a fuller, denser head of hair.  Women, especially, who have thinning hair come to Scalp Esthetica in order to cover the scalp so that it is not “see through”.  Most often Men and Women with thinning hair see the scalp in pictures, and with our SMP HD treatment, we are able to cover the scalp with pigmented hair follicles so the scalp is no longer visible and thus giving the appearance of a full head of hair.

What is Scalp Micropigmentation, Hair Tattoo or Scalp Tattoo?

SMP is an acronym that stands for Scalp Micro Pigmentation. SMP or Scalp Micropigmentation, is a medical grade application technique of depositing pigment (color) into the epidermis and upper dermal layer of the skin on the scalp. This technique allows the replication of hair follicles in the scalp, which gives the appearance of having a “buzz cut” or recently shaved head.  The SMP method at Scalp Esthetica can be utilized for Men and Women of all ages, skin types, skin color and various degrees of balding, thinning hair, alopecia, and camouflaging scars or to add hair density to thinning hair.  Scalp Esthetica are the leaders in SMP with their custom made needles, which are the size and shape of hair follicles, and their unique brand of custom made pigments, which do not change colors and are the longest lasting pigments in the industry.

Scalp Esthetica are the leaders in Canada for Scalp Micropigmentation, Hair Tattoo, Scalp Tattoo, and SMP Hair Density Treatments, and the Best Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) Clinic in Toronto.

The Process of Having a Scalp Micropigmentation or Scalp Tattoo Treatment at Scalp Esthetica

TORONTO - Nov. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Many of Scalp Esthetica’s clients and potential clients ask similar questions during the consultation process.  Some of the questions revolve around the process of having a Scalp Micropigmentation treatment and what is involved.  Scalp Esthetica has broken down the process so that you can better understand the process and procedures of having a Scalp Tattoo or Hair Tattoo.

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)
Scalp Micropigmentation is the process, similar to having a classic tattoo, of implanting thousands of pigmented microdots into the scalp to replicate the look of hair follicles.  These pigmented hair follicles give the scalp the appearance of a freshly shaved head of hair, or this same process can add density and fullness to Men and Women with thinning hair.  Although the process is similar to having a classic tattoo, the pigments and needles used in Scalp Micropigmentation differ, as well as the location and placement of the microdots.  In SMP, the pigmented hair follicles are placed in the deep epidermis, whereas, in classical tattooing, ink is placed in the dermis of the skin.

Scalp Micropigmentation Consultation

At Scalp Esthetica, we like to go into a bit of the history of this business and let clients know how far this industry has come in a few short years.  It is imperative that you seek the consultation with the actual SMP Artist that will be doing your treatment, rather than a sales associate of the company.  The client should feel comfortable in the knowledge that the SMP Artist doing the treatment is experienced and trustworthy.  Once the client has booked the consultation, most likely they have done their homework and some research and have questions for the SMP Artist, who should be able to answer them honestly and openly.  The SMP Artist should discuss the process and procedure, as well as the pigments and needles they plan on using for your skin type.  At Scalp Esthetica we also draw your new hair line so that you can see what you will look like after the SMP treatment.  The hair line is the most important part of the process, and we ensure that it is to customer specifications.

The Scalp Micropigmentation Treatment

A few days before your treatment, you should receive a phone call and an email with detailed instructions on the do’s and don’ts over the next few days to ensure that you have a safe and effective treatment.

When you arrive, the numbing process begins.  Although, there is relatively no pain during the procedure, Scalp Esthetica uses only medical grade numbing cream to make clients feel more comfortable and to relieve any anxiety.  Before pictures with and without the hair line are taken in order to document the treatment.

During the treatment, the SMP Artist will be in constant communication with the client to ensure they are comfortable, and that their pain level and anxiety levels are low.  The client will feel like a cat scratching their head after thousands of pigmented microdots are put on the head.

The head will be red and somewhat swollen, but not painful.  After the redness subsides in 8-12 hours, all that is left are the results.

The SMP Artist should go over a detailed after care sheet and apply lotions or Vaseline to the head so that the client feels comfortable leaving the office.

The Best Scalp Micropigmentation, Scalp Tattoo and Hair Tattoo Clinic in Toronto!

Scalp Micropigmentation, Scalp Tattoo and Hair Tattoo at Scalp Esthetica

Scalp Micropigmentation, Scalp Tattoo and Hair Tattoo is the best alternative treatment to balding, hair loss and thinning hair. The process is simple, non invasive, affordable and the results are guaranteed.

TORONTO - Nov. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- What is Scalp Micropigmentation, Scalp Tattoo and Hair Tattoo?

SMP is short form for Scalp Micro Pigmentation. It is a medical grade technique of depositing pigment (color) into the upper dermal layer of the skin on the scalp. This technique allows the replication of hair follicles in the scalp, which gives the appearance of having a “buzz cut” or recently shaved head.

Do the results of having a Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), Hair Tattoo or Scalp Tattoo look real?
Absolutely! By placing the correct amount of pigment and “dots” per square inch and color matching the pigment to your skin tone, the results are a realistic, full head of hair. The result looks like a freshly shaved head of hair, or a buzz cut. As well, having a SMP Hair Density treatment will add fullness and density to thinning hair.

Can Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) camouflage scalp scars?

Yes! By color matching the pigment to your skin tone, we are able to cover most scars with real looking hair. The results, of course, depend on the amount of scar tissue formed, age of scar, location, etc.  Scalp Micropigmentation is a great adjunct treatment for scars on the scalp caused by injury, medical procedures, or hair transplants.

How long does a scalp micropigmentation (SMP), Hair Tattoo or Scalp Tattoo treatment results last?

Depending on your age, immune system, metabolism, etc, an SMP treatment can last anywhere between 8-15 years before ever needing a touch up. We, nor ANY provider, can guarantee how long the SMP treatment will last because everyBODY is different and no one can estimate how long the pigmented dots will last before needing a touch up. However, with proper aftercare (i.e. applying sunscreen, etc.), SMP will last many, many years.

How much does Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), Hair Tattoo or Scalp Tattoo Cost?

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), Hair Tattoo or Scalp Tattoo treatment pricing depend on how much work needs to be done, and the area being treated based on the Norwood Classification of Alopecia. Treatments can range between $2500 and $4500. Each treatment includes Consultation, Three Treatments, and 12 Months Guarantee.
